All current and discontinued CGI sliders.
CGI is the other big Florida brand alongside PGT — particularly common on the coasts and in luxury homes. The Targa and Estate Series are heavy-duty aluminum sliders. Their tandem rollers eventually fail (8–12 years), the multi-point locks need service (every 5–7 years), and coastal homes get track corrosion that needs marine-grade attention.
What we fix on CGI doors: heavy-duty tandem roller cassettes (CGI doors are some of the heaviest sliders in the industry), Estate Series multi-point lock service, Sentinel impact-rated weatherstrip, marine-grade track caps for coastal homes, alignment after foundation movement.
The four issues we see most.
Targa tandem rollers
CGI Targa doors are heavy. Original rollers fail at 8–12 years. We replace with heavy-duty stainless tandem assemblies rated for the actual door weight. From $350.
Estate Series multi-point lock
The 3-point and 5-point locks in Estate Series need periodic service to stay smooth. From $220.
Coastal track corrosion
Daytona Beach and Port Orange — coastal CGI doors need marine-grade stainless track caps every 8–12 years. From $199.
Sentinel impact weatherstrip
The thicker pile weatherstrip on impact-rated CGI doors is specific. We carry it — a Home Depot generic will not maintain the impact rating. From $220.
Repair almost always wins.
A new CGI slider runs $3,500–$6,500 installed. A roller-and-tune-up on your existing CGI door runs $179–$549. The frame and glass on CGI sliders are usually good for 25–30 years — what fails are the wear parts. Replacement is for actual frame damage or shattered glass, not for wear-and-tear. We will tell you straight if your case is the rare 1-in-10 that needs replacement.
Do you really stock CGI-compatible parts?
Yes — we carry universal-fit aftermarket parts (Strybuc, Pemko, Slide-Co, Ives) that fit CGI doors. Same-day install instead of 2–3 week factory wait.
Will the repair void my CGI warranty?
CGI warranty terms vary. Wear parts (rollers, weatherstrip, alignment) are typically not under warranty after a few years anyway. We document everything so you have records if you ever need to make a claim.
How much does CGI sliding door repair cost?
