Sliding Door Track Repair & Capping
A worn track is what kills a sliding door. The roller drags, then gouges, then the door jumps. We straighten what we can, cap what's gouged with marine-grade stainless, and fully replace what's beyond saving. Most track repairs are 60–180 minutes, Starting at $199, with a 1-year warranty in writing.
What a Speedy track repair actually looks like.
The four-channel aluminum bottom track from a real Lake Mary home — this is what we straighten, cap, or replace, depending on the wear.
Five signs your track needs work.
Visible groove
You can see (or feel with a fingernail) a worn groove in the metal track. The roller has been dragging on aluminum for months.
Door jumps
The door pops out of the track when sliding. The track lip has worn down or bent.
Salt corrosion
White powder, pitting, flaking — common in pool-deck and waterfront homes. Capping is the right move.
Track is bent
Visible bow, kink, or dent in the aluminum. Often from a chair or grill being slammed against it.
Water leaks at threshold
Track has separated from the frame; rain comes inside. A repair-and-reseal job, not a replacement.
Three repair tiers — we recommend the cheapest one that works.
1. Track straightening
For minor bends without surface damage. The track gets re-aligned, lubricated, and tested. Often combined with new rollers.
From $1992. Stainless capping
For grooved or pitted tracks. We install a marine-grade stainless cap over the existing track — instant smooth surface, looks cleaner than original.
From $3503. Full track replacement
For severely damaged or rotted tracks. We remove the old track and install OEM-spec replacement. The "factory new" option.
From $349Track repair available in 24 Central Florida cities.
How much does track repair cost?
Starting at $199. Capping is on the low end, full replacement on the high end. Always quoted in writing before work begins.
Capping vs. replacement — which do I need?
If the track is gouged or pitted but structurally sound, capping is the right call. If the track is bent, rusted through, or rotted, replacement is the call. We tell you the cheaper option that actually works.
Will I lose my hurricane rating?
No — we use OEM-spec replacement tracks that maintain the door's structural and impact ratings.
Can I just replace the rollers and skip the track?
If the track is mildly worn, sometimes yes. If the track is gouged, new rollers will fail in 6–12 months. We tell you straight which one you need.
