Emergency Sliding Door Repair.
Door won’t lock and it’s 9 PM. Door fell off the track during a storm. Glass cracked but still holding. Vacation rental guest arriving in 4 hours. Speedy answers emergency calls outside business hours and dispatches as fast as Florida geography allows.
The 6 situations that justify after-hours rates.
If your situation matches one of these, call us immediately. See our complete Florida sliding door guide for the deep dive on everything we fix. If it doesn’t, save money and book regular same-day at standard rates.
1. Door won’t lock — security risk
It’s nighttime, the latch is broken, and you can’t secure the house. We come and at minimum get it secured. Full repair next-day if needed.
2. Door is off the track and unsafe
Especially with kids or pets in the house. Off-track doors are heavy and can fall further. We get it back on safely.
3. Hurricane / storm damage
Glass cracked but still holding, frame bent, track ripped from frame. We board up safely, document for insurance, schedule full repair.
4. Broken-into door
Police report filed, door damage from forced entry. We secure the door same-night, document for police/insurance, full repair next-day.
5. Vacation rental with incoming guest
Guest arrives in 4 hours and the slider broke. We dispatch immediately, get it functional, photo documentation for the property manager.
6. Commercial after-hours
Restaurant patio door, hotel guest-facing slider, retail front. We work around your business hours so customers don’t see the work.
Honest emergency pricing.
We don’t play games with emergency rates. The premium depends on time of day, day of week, and complexity:
| Window | Premium over standard |
|---|---|
| Weekday 6 PM – 9 PM | +25% |
| Weekday 9 PM – 11 PM | +50% |
| Weekday 11 PM – 7 AM | +75% (call only for true emergencies) |
| Saturday all day | Standard rate before 1 PM, +25% after |
| Sunday all day | +25% |
| Major holidays | +50% (Christmas, Thanksgiving, July 4) |
| Hurricane / declared emergency | Standard rate — community service |
We discuss the premium on the phone before dispatching. No surprises. If the cost makes you reconsider, we book you for first-thing-tomorrow at standard rate — no hard sell.
Hurricane and break-in board-ups.
For situations where the door cannot be repaired immediately (shattered glass, severely bent frame), we provide same-day board-up. Plywood, weatherproof tape, secured edges. See our complete Florida sliding door guide for the deep dive on everything we fix. Photo documentation timestamped for insurance. Full repair scheduled when parts arrive.
Board-up cost: $300–$600 depending on door size and complexity. Materials included.
How fast can you respond to an emergency?
Sanford-area: 60–90 minutes. Orlando metro: 90–120 minutes. Coastal Volusia: 2 hours. We confirm exact arrival when we take the call.
Do you really answer phones at midnight?
Until 11 PM directly; voicemail after. We return emergency-tagged voicemails within 30 minutes typically. True hurricane / break-in / safety emergencies: try calling repeatedly — we wake up.
Will my insurance cover emergency repair?
Hurricane and storm: yes. Break-in: usually yes. Wear-and-tear that became urgent at 9 PM: no — that’s out-of-pocket but we’ll do same-day next morning at standard rate if you can wait.
Will you board up if you can’t fix it tonight?
Yes — same-day board-up so the house is secure. Full repair scheduled when parts arrive. $300–$600 for board-up.
What if my door is locked but it’s an emergency?
We do not break in. If you’re locked OUT of your house, that’s a locksmith. If you can’t lock the door, we can secure it externally same-night.
